Owner of West Asheville's Plays In Mud Pottery Studio and Gallery, Kelsey creates a line of functional pottery, inspired by nature, that's both beautiful and practical.
When Hurricane Helene struck Western North Carolina, flooding Asheville's River Arts District and nearby communities, Kelsey knew she had to help her fellow artists. She created a Pottery Consortium and is lending her studio to displaced artists. Additionally, she founded the Come Hell or High-Water Studio Tour to provide a platform for all WNC artists to sell their work.
Based in Chapel Hill, Jenna is a professional website designer/developer by day and a hobby potter by nights and weekends. When Hurricane Helene struck Western NC, she quickly mobilized to support the arts community. Jenna founded Handmade for Help, a platform to connect impacted artists with buyers, and through it met like-minded artist/activist – Kelsey!
Now, she's lending her expertise to expand the H4H platform and host the online experience for the Come Hell or High-Water Studio Tour, creating an intuitive experience where art lovers can discover WNC artists and their work.
Raised in an artistic family, Renee combines her sales and marketing background with her passion for creativity. After meeting Kelsey in the wake of Hurricane Helene, she joined the initiative to help bridge the gap between WNC artists and art enthusiasts through content, email marketing, and SEO.
